Adventurous Trip......

Day 1 (5th September 2007)

Mommy heard from grandma that now is Turtle Egg season. Daddy is already dreaming for the eggs for about 10 years time. Finally, there's a chance but we have to go to Terengganu to buy.

This weekend is Uncle Jesse's Convocation. So, daddy suggest to head north east to Terangganu
first. Then, head west to KL.

Hooray!!! We going for another adventurous trip. Hehehe.....This is the first time we use the coastway road from Johor to Terengganu. The scenery along the road is very quite and beautiful. There's a lot of small villages and most of them are working as the fisherman. The road is very small and bumpy.

We are now entering the Rompin, a town of Pahang.

It's almost sunset.....it's really beautiful here.

We don't stop in Rompin because it's quite late already and daddy hope to arrive in Terangganu tonight. So, we continue our journey again....

On the way, we see this very very big turn sign compare to the normal size. Hahah.... I think it maybe means there's a very very sharp curve ahead.

About one and a half hour later, we arrived at the Kuantan town.

We are so hungry now. Daddy remember that there's a very famous place to eat near the beach call Teluk cempedak. Mommy check up the map and find the place. So, we head straight to the place to eat. When we get there we see a lot of foreigners, the place look very special and expensive. We walk around for a while and find a place like a foodcourt near the beach. We are so happy and quickly walk over to check up. There's a lot of local people there and look cheaper. Haha.... we sit down and order the drinks. We are forced to order their food because we sit on their table. The sits there are all full, we cannot change to a new table. So, we order from them the Nasi Pattaya. The western food stall opposite us look so nice and their tables are all full. Sigh.....hope the nasi pattaya will be good.

It really looks nice but the taste is very bad.

We are full now.

There's a small playground in front. Daddy and me go there and play for a while mommy sit there and taking photos and video for us.

A new way of playing the slide.

I can fly.....

Hey.... there's a lot of windmills. Wind here is very strong and it makes all the windmills moving. So beautiful......

After walking around for a while, daddy start driving again. It may take another 2 hours to get to the Terengganu.

But after about one hour, daddy getting sleepy already. Then, we start to look for a hotel to stay overnight. Finally, we see a resort which still light up. So, we turn in to take a look and ask for the room rate. There's only one room left but must check out tomorrow before 12pm. This room is only RM85 per night.

Look very very old place. One small bed and one queen size bed. The foam is all gone already, only the spring inside. Very hard to sleep on it.

There's a small TV.

The scary toilet. Very dark, no light and no heater. Everything look very dirty and old.

I'm finished taking my bath. Now is daddy's turn.

Hey!!! I got some money from mommy's bag.

Let me count, how much I got.

All of us finished taking our bath and start to take a rest. We still not sleepy yet and daddy is a bit hungry. So, we go out to the malay stall nearby to have supper. After supper, we go back to sleep and prepare for our important mission tomorrow.

Day 2 (6th September 2007)

Good morning...... We are ready for our important mission now.

Hehe.... do you what's my daddy acts like???
Yeah!! That's right. It is the Turtle.

This is the way to the town. We are going to look for the Pasar Besar Kedai Payang. That's the place where mommy knows there is someone selling the turtle eggs.

Wow.... we can see that most of the peoples here are the PAS supporter.

We are entering the town area.

Hmm....I'm so blur. Where am I now?

Oh.... There it is, the Pasar Besar Kedai Payang. Yeah....we find it.

This is the building opposite the pasar. But we don't know what it is. We can't find the signboard anyway.

We walk into the pasar and start looking for the turtle eggs. We can't find it anyway even after we finish walking around the whole pasar. We walk back to the main entrance and ask an aunty in front. She said she only have the telur jeruk (turtle eggs that being store in the salt for more than a year).

Miracle.... when we turn a around, an old uncle bringing a box of white balls come into the pasar and sit down at the side. It's the turtle eggs!!! Daddy run over and ask the uncle to make sure that is the turtle eggs.

Wow... the turtle eggs cost RM2 for one egg. That's expensive!!! Daddy try to discount with him. He doesn't really answer back. The aunty just now tell us that he can't really hear clearly. So, daddy asks the aunty for help. Daddy wants 50 eggs, and the aunty give 10 extra. That's a lot.

After buying the eggs, we drive around the town to look for a place to have our breakfast. We see a Chinatown in front, daddy drives into the lane to look for food. We see a foodstalls that full of peoples. So, daddy make a big round back to look for a parking.

This is the place that we mentioned. We order a toasted bread with kaya and butter, a hokkien mee and fried bihun. It really smell so good and taste very good as well.

After breakfast, we go back to our hotel.

This is the place that we sleep last night.

The view here is good and there's a beach at the back. We will be going there later.

The first thing daddy do is to check up the turtle egg. Haha.... daddy is posing with the turtle egg.

After I throw the egg everywhere, the egg still look good. But it breaks when I push it with my finger. Hahah.... the power of the finger.

This is the beach that we mention just now. It's really beautiful and clean here.

Then, we check out of the hotel. Daddy has a chat with the boss there. His father once own a land in Singapore which named as Jalan Anggulia now. But he sold it and move here to buy this resort. Haha.... or else there are now already one of the billionaire in the Orchard Area. Poor guy.... very sad with his dad's decision.

On the way back, we passby the Kerteh huge petroleum refinery plant. Yesterday night we also passby it. It's really amazing and unforgetable experience. Gases accompanied by fire released from the pipe and the huge plants are brightly lighted and appear in a suddenly on a bare land, like a space city appear in the middle of the sky.
