The small trains on the opposite used to carry sugar canes on railway.
The reminiscent tour of five cents car will take all tourists, young or old, back to the good old days in the sounds of train. The "fifty-percent train" term refers to the distance between two rails. The international standard track gauge is 1435mm, whereas that of small trains owned by Taiwan Sugar Corporation is a merely 762mm only half of the standard track gauge. Hence it came by the name of fifty-percent train.
As the sugar production industry of Taiwan Sugar Corporation declined, the small trains carrying sugar canes will stop running. It was with the assistance from people of all circles that the sugar carriages were transformed into small tourist trains that drive slowly past farms and fields to reveal the enticing scenery of wide field and open country that consists of rice farms, sugar cane farms, banana trees, loofahs, and a couple dozens of other trees.
The fifty-percent train tour provided by Sinying Sugar Factory goes from Jhongsing Station at the factory to Bawong Station at Yingjhang Tourist Cow's Farm of Liouying. It takes 30 minutes to go from the sugar factory to the pasture, where the train stops for another 30 minutes before going back. The total length of the fifty-percent train is approximately 90 minutes, with reminiscent old Taiwanese songs are played along the way. It is great to listen to melodies from the good old days and feel the simple and elegant glamour of the past.
On the way, we take a lot of photos......
We also see the trees by the roadside with a lot of fruits on it. When A Wei said we can pick it up and eat everyone start to pick the fruits.
The fruits look like some kind of berries. It tastes sweet but still have some of them taste sour
The red juice from the fruits stay on daddy's hand and cannot be remove. So an uncle told daddy to pick some of the fruit's leaves to wash the hand. Then daddy try it..... Wow!!! It's fantastic. The leaves really cleanse up daddy's hand.
This is the SinYing Railway Cultural Park. It is a cow farm....... Before we enter the farm, we walk pass thru a shop selling cow's milk steam buns, milk cookies, milk candy and cow's accessories. They given out the tester for us. A girl in our tour buy the buns and give us one to try as well. Hmmm.... it smells so nice.
In the farm, we saw a lot of different animals. But we are not allow to stay to near. We never know when the animal will come near and attack us. We take a lot of pictures with those animals. It's really a fun outdoor activity.
On the way back, we all are having fun taking photos in weird poses. The brothers at the back are helping me with all kind of poses. Hehe......

There are more than 200 peacock and precious birds plus native and foreign specimens of butterflies in the Butterfly Museum. Through the clear exposition, tourists can learn about the ecology of butterflies. We only have 15 minutes on this spot. So, just take some pictures that interesting.
Sun Moon Village is called Barawbaw in thao language. The Han people call it North Cave. It was named Te Hua village after the restoration of Taiwan, and is under the administration of YuChi. Barawbaw is the last residence of the thao people at Sun Moon Lake. On account of the continuous stream of tourists, many Han people moved here to go into trade. Therefore, Sun Moon Village becomes the most popular area around the Sun Moon Lake. There are stores, restaurants, and hotels in the village. Also the thao people establishes the "thao Cultural Village" for tourists to appreciate the traditional culture, songs, and dancing of the thao tribe. The harvest ceremony, the most important and splendid ceremony among all the others held during the year, is held every year during August in lunar calendar.
However, once the water flowed in, it would flood two temples, which are Lungfen Temple and Yihua Temple. The local people thus decided to move the two temples. So, they built the Wen-wu Temple at the present address to take the place of the two temples.
Fifth Destination: Royal Jelly Centre
Tonight, we are having the steamboat buffet in a famous restaurant at Feng Jia Night Market. It's just the ordinary steamboat, but many choices of meats, seafood, vege, seafoodballs and meatballs. The sauces they serve are very special and nice.
This is the view of the crowd that show up for the night market.
This stand sells all sorts of drinks with jellies in flavors like lemon, passion fruit, and almond.
This is the lady selling a lot of different kinds of sushi. Look so tasty and beautiful.
This group of men are selling the fried soft shell crab. Look so tasty, too bad.... We all are still from the dinner just now.
These candy-looking kabos are glazed fruit. The orange looking things are yellow tomatoes stuffed with candied dates. The glaze over the fruit is special because it's icy cool, something quite refreshing on a hot summer night walking around in the hoards of sweaty people.
Hot pot essentials: various balls of seafood, meat, brochettes, kabobs, fried tofu, all on sticks, waiting to be added to your soup noodles.
